This is a single pin hot shoe not for newer 3 pin types. It is a dual 10 watt and 30 watt steady halogen bulb. The battery mounts to the light which has a built in battery charger. There is a port in the light to which the AC charger plugs into which plugs into the wall (standard 110v 2 prong outlet) to charge the battery.
